The Water Cooler – Keeping Dehydration at Bay

For any one of you who regularly watch Channel 4’s – not-for-the-faint-hearted – Embarrassing Bodies, you probably will have caught a former installment which highlighted the difficult problem of exaggerated sweating. This topic is of special interest to the Water Delivery Company and its cousin, the Water Cooler Company, for the reason that it highlights the importance of drinking enough. Being familiar with your sweat rate will also be able to give you a fuller idea of how much water you should be imbibing, which means you’ll be aware of how often to sidle up to the water cooler. Sweating is needed as it regularises our body temperatures in hot weather, or when exercising, in fact if we didn’t sweat, we’d kick the bucket. Strangely, around 1% of the population sweats excessively in moments when they are neither hot nor exercising. This condition is called hyperhidrosis, and those who suffer from it can lose up to four times the general amount of sweat a day! However much you sweat, it’s vital to keep your hydration levels precisely right. Both drinking excessively, or not drinking enough water canproduce serious medical problems, and in England, it’s the latter that is the most common issue. Having water coolers in the home could be just what you need, and with the wide range on offer, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
